Thomas Frank Warns Tottenham Over Everton’s ‘Main Creator’ Ahead Of Crunch Premier League Clash
The pressure is mounting on Thomas Frank as Tottenham Hotspur prepare for a crucial Premier League clash against Everton, with the Spurs boss warning his side about the home team’s “main creator” — Jack Grealish.
Following a home defeat to Aston Villa and a disappointing Champions League draw at Monaco, Spurs find themselves in urgent need of a response. The trip to Everton, who are unbeaten at their new Hill Dickinson Stadium, could be decisive in restoring confidence and form.
A Mersey Test For The North Londoners
Everton have been a revelation this season under David Moyes, bolstered by the return of Jack Grealish on a season-long loan from Manchester City. The 29-year-old winger has rediscovered his flair, contributing one goal and four assists in just seven league games — earning him the Premier League Player of the Month award for August.
Meanwhile, Spurs’ injury list continues to grow. With Cristian Romero, Destiny Udogie, James Maddison, and Dejan Kulusevski all sidelined, Frank faces the challenge of patching up a side that has looked fatigued and uninspired in recent weeks.
Frank’s Warning: Stop Grealish Or Suffer
Frank, who took charge of Spurs after their summer overhaul, has made no secret of the fact that Grealish is the key danger man.
“He (Grealish) is their main creator, no doubt about that,” Frank said. “He’s so dangerous — he can create something out of nothing in every game. So, of course, we need to be aware of him.”
The Spurs boss also praised Everton’s attacking options, singling out Beto and Illiman Ndiaye for their energy and movement, as well as Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who seems to have found form after a mixed spell at Chelsea.
Mutual Respect For Moyes
Frank reserved particular admiration for Everton manager David Moyes, a coach he called both “a colleague and a friend.”
“David Moyes is in charge of a very competitive side,” Frank said. “He’s a manager I admire and a person I respect massively. His teams always fight, always have structure, and always make you earn your win.”
What’s At Stake
Spurs haven’t beaten Everton away from home since 2018, and with confidence fragile, this match could define their early-season momentum. Everton, meanwhile, are chasing a statement win to reinforce their top-six ambitions under Moyes.
A battle between Frank’s tactical precision and Moyes’ relentless structure — with Grealish pulling the creative strings — sets the stage for an explosive encounter on Merseyside.
