Full PSG, Arsenal Squads Set For UCL Clash With Five Back From Injury
Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain go head-to-head for a place in the Champions League final on Wednesday night.
The Gunners will face the Ligue 1 club in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final clash and will do so trailing 1-0 on aggregate.
Mikel Arteta will be without some key players for the trip to the French capital, with Gabriel Magalhaes, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz on the sidelines with injuries.
There is good news on the injury front, though, with Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori expected to return for the clash in the French capital.
Timber missed the defeat to Bournemouth at the weekend while Calafiori has been sidelined for the last nine matches with a knee injury, but both have returned to training and are in contention to feature in the second leg against PSG.
It also remains to be seen if Jorginho will be available after a spell on the sidelines with injury after the midfielder provided a hint with a social media post on Instagram.
For PSG, they will also have uncertainty when it comes to squad selection. Presnel Kimpembe is the only player to be ruled out with an injury, but there are still question marks over the fitness of other players.
Ousmane Dembele has been a doubt for the fixture since he suffered a hamstring injury in the first leg at the Emirates Stadium last week. The France international missed PSG’s defeat to Strasbourg at the weekend, but was spotted in training on Tuesday to prepare for the clash against the Gunners.
Lee Kang-In has also emerged as a fitness doubt for PSG over the last few days after being substituted at half-time during the loss to Strasbourg in Ligue 1 on Saturday. The South Korea international was also in training on Tuesday and could be in contention to feature against Arsenal in Paris.
