Anthony Joshua and Eddie Hearn Launch Ambitious Football Agency Targeting Elite Players
Joshua and Hearn Enter Football Representation
Anthony Joshua, the two-time world heavyweight boxing champion, is venturing into football with promoter Eddie Hearn as the duo announce plans to build a football agency targeting the sport’s biggest names.
Backed by Matchroom Sport, the agency is designed to provide comprehensive services for elite players, from contract negotiations and transfers to sponsorship deals and lifestyle management.
Aiming for the Top
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Hearn revealed that this project had been in development for months before Joshua posted about it on Instagram, triggering widespread interest.
“Everything went mental—players, clubs, sponsors, media, everyone came to us,” Hearn said.
The agency’s mission is clear: start at the top end of the market.
“I’m not interested in representing a couple of lower league players,” Hearn added. “I want to enter at the highest level.”
This ambition was underlined by reports that Cristiano Ronaldo is among the calibre of players the agency hopes to attract.
A 360-Degree Service for Footballers
The agency promises to go beyond standard player representation, offering a 360-degree service that focuses on every aspect of an athlete’s career—on and off the pitch. From branding to financial planning, Joshua and Hearn aim to bring the same level of professionalism and structure that has defined their success in boxing.
Football Meets Boxing Business Savvy
Joshua’s move into football reflects his growing portfolio as an entrepreneur, while Hearn’s experience in managing elite athletes and global events provides a strong foundation for the new venture.
By combining influence in sports business with connections across media, sponsorship, and management, the partnership has the potential to disrupt the traditional football agency model.
