Kano Pillars unlucky in defeat to Abia Warriors – Maikaba
Kano Pillars technical adviser Abdullahi Maikaba says his team were unlucky in the matchday 23 defeat against Abia Warriors.
Maikaba said his players missed a lot of scoring chances in the game.
The experienced tactician also expressed dissatisfaction with the officiating in the game.
Kano Pillars suffered a shocking 1-0 defeat against the Warriors at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano on Monday.
“I will say we were unlucky in the game against Abia Warriors,” he stated in a post-match interview.
“We squandered a lot of scoring chances. Abia Warriors were not supposed to carry the day.
“The corner kick leading to the goal was a wrong call from the match official, in a nutshell, I’m not satisfied with the officiating.”
Kano Pillars remain in sixth position on the NPFL table.
