Frank Lampard Set To Coach Another English Club
Former Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard is eyeing a return to the dugout after applying for one of the managerial positions of an English club side.
Lampard has not coached since a brief interim spell at Chelsea for the club’s final 11 matches of the 2022-23 season. He was previously Chelsea’s permanent manager between July 2019 and January 2021.
He has also had managerial spells at Derby County and Everton.
Coventry owner Doug King has confirmed that Frank Lampard has applied for the club’s vacant manager’s job after Mark Robins’ sacking.
Robins was the longest-serving manager in the English Football League until he was dismissed from his role on Thursday, and Lampard has emerged as a candidate to replace him.
“We’ve received a huge amount of CVs from high-quality people, of which Frank is one,” King told Sky Sports. “We’ve done nothing on that process … but clearly we’re in the international break, we’ll be assessing everything. We’ll work out who’s going to make the shortlist and we’ll go from there.”
