Nwabali Gets Heroic Welcome At Chippa United
Super Eagles goalkeper Stanley Nwabali was accorded a heroic welcome by Chippa United fans on his arrival in South Africa on Tuesday.
The fans took to the Port Elizabeth Airport in large numbers to show their love for the shot stopper.
Chippa United also announced Nwabali’s arrival with a short message on their official X handle.
“He’s Back @NwabaliBobo,” reads the message.
The 27-year-old was one of the top performers for Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations
The goalie conceded four times in seven appearances.
The former Enyimba goalkeper received cash gifts, a national honour and was made a chief in his hometown after the competition.
