Harry Kane has been immortalised at Madame Tussauds London, with the England captain describing the unveiling of his first waxwork as a “proud moment” for both himself and his family ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

England star joins sporting royalty

The Bayern Munich striker has officially taken his place among some of the world’s most recognisable sporting icons after receiving his own lifelike wax figure at the famous London attraction.

Kane worked closely with Madame Tussauds’ creative team throughout the process to ensure every detail was captured accurately, from his England kit and boots to his trademark matchday appearance.

Speaking about the honour, Kane admitted seeing the finished figure for the first time was a surreal experience.

“It was a real honour to get the call from Madame Tussauds. It’s one of those things that you never expect to happen,” he said.

“London is a special place for me, and I’ve lived here pretty much my whole life, so it’s the perfect city to have my first figure. It feels like a true full-circle moment.”

Incredible attention to detail

The waxwork depicts Kane in a familiar pose with his foot resting on a football, but it was the smaller details that impressed the England captain the most.

Artists even included the tape on his wedding finger, which has become synonymous with his goal celebration routine.

Kane said: “Seeing the final result was a special moment. The eyes are so realistic, and they even remembered the tape on my wedding finger that I kiss when I score. It’s like looking in the mirror!”

Family shares special occasion

The unveiling became a memorable family event as Kane was joined by his wife, Kate, and their four children to witness the completed figure.

The England skipper admitted the occasion carried extra significance because of those closest to him.

“My wife, Kate, and my four kids came down to the unveiling, and it was a proud moment for us all,” Kane revealed.

The tribute comes at another landmark stage of the striker’s career as he prepares to captain England at a major international tournament once again.

Inspiring the next generation

Kane’s waxwork will remain permanently on display in London, the city where his football journey began.

In a fitting tribute to his roots, youngsters from Ridgeway Rovers — the grassroots club where Kane first developed his skills — were invited to view the figure before its public unveiling.

The England captain hopes his story can motivate aspiring footballers to chase their own dreams.

“I can’t wait for young fans to pose next to the figure-version of me in London,” Kane said.

“I hope seeing this inspires children to keep working hard, believing in themselves and enjoying every moment of the journey.”

Focus turns to World Cup challenge

While Kane has taken time to celebrate the latest recognition of his remarkable career, his attention will quickly return to football matters.

The 32-year-old is currently with England’s squad in Miami as preparations continue for the 2026 World Cup, where he will once again carry the hopes of a nation seeking its first major men’s international trophy since 1966.
