Barca Midfielder Set For €5M La Liga Transfer
Following the departures of Clement Lenglet and Ansu Fati, FC Barcelona are now set to bid goodbye to another first-team member imminently.
Pablo Torre, having found minutes hard to come by, is all set to sign for La Liga rivals RCD Mallorca in a permanent transfer.
Fabrizio Romano has given the deal the ‘Here We Go’, stating that the 22-year-old will join Mallorca for a transfer fee of €5 million while Barcelona will retain a 50% future sell-on clause.
Torre endured a difficult season under Hansi Flick, hardly getting an opportunity in the team despite making a solid impression each time he stepped on the field.
As such, an exit was always the likeliest outcome. Even though some other La Liga clubs were interested, it was Mallorca who acted the fastest to land Torre.
There was a brief scare that the deal could fall through when AFC Ajax and Olympique Marseille entered the picture earlier this week, tempting the youngster.
However, he eventually decided to move to Mallorca, and a full agreement has now been reached between all parties.
Torre could complete the move in the coming days so that he can join his new teammates at the start of the pre-season on July 10.
