PGMOL Name Puma As New Official Kit Partner
England’s match officials will be decked out in Puma kit following a multi-year deal agreed between the sportswear giant and the Professional Game Match Officials (PGMOL).
Puma will become the official kit partner of PGMOL and supply high-performance apparel to match officials in both the men’s and women’s professional game from the start of the 2025/26 season.
Referees traditionally wear black but the new kit has “a contemporary design that is fresh and dynamic, featuring bold colourways, and reflects the evolving landscape of the modern game.”
Is Orange the new Black for the law enforcers on England’s professional pitches?
Howard Webb, PGMOL Chief Refereeing Officer, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Puma, a world-leading company who shares our passion for the game. This multi-year agreement with PUMA will provide our officials with high-performance sports apparel for many years, recognising the pride and professionalism they display every time they step onto the pitch at a progressive time for refereeing.
“Officials are an essential part of the game – without them, we have no competition. This new era of refereeing is all about delivering excellence now and inspiring the next generation for the future, and we’re excited to bring that to life with Puma.”
Puma said the new kits are designed to reflect the professionalism, confidence and authority of modern match officials.
“We’re incredibly proud to partner with PGMOL and support the officials who play such a vital role in the game. At Puma, we believe in pushing sport forward, and this partnership allows us to bring our expertise in performance innovation to officials across all levels of the professional game,” said Lucynda Davies, Managing Director, PUMA UK & Ireland.
