Carlton Palmer Backs Dennis for Success at Blackburn Rovers
Former England midfielder Carlton Palmer has expressed confidence that Nigerian forward Emmanuel Dennis will make a significant impact at Blackburn Rovers following his loan move from Nottingham Forest.
Dennis, who had struggled for game time at Forest, secured a deadline-day switch to the Sky Bet Championship club, a move Palmer described as a strategic signing for Rovers.
“Brilliant news for John Eustace, who is having a fantastic season as manager of Blackburn Rovers,” Palmer told Football League World. “They’ve beaten the likes of Watford and Sheffield Wednesday to secure Dennis’ signature.”
Palmer acknowledged that Dennis might need time to regain match fitness after a lack of game time at Forest.
“The only issue is that he hasn’t played much football, so it will take time for him to get up to speed,” Palmer noted.
Despite this, the former midfielder highlighted Dennis’ versatility as a valuable asset for Blackburn.
“He can play up front and on the flanks, making him a massive signing. If he can get up to speed, he’ll be a difference-maker with his pace, trickery, and goal-scoring ability.”
Palmer concluded that the move was a smart piece of business for Rovers as they continue their push for a play-off spot.
