Tochukwu Nnadi Playing For Zulte Waregem During A Match
West Ham United aren’t waiting for trouble to catch up with them — they’re already fighting back.
With the club knee-deep in a tense relegation battle, manager Nuno Espírito Santo is pushing hard for reinforcements, and top of his wishlist is a tough-tackling Nigerian midfielder who has been turning heads across Europe.
According to TEAMtalk, the Hammers are plotting a January swoop for Tochukwu Nnadi, the 22-year-old Zulte Waregem midfielder known for his energy, pressing, and fearless ball-winning ability.
West Ham reportedly want to hand him a five-year contract, signalling how highly they rate him. At around €4 million, Nnadi could become one of the smartest bargain signings of the winter window.
But it won’t be a clean race.
Nnadi’s profile has attracted major Premier League attention:
Brighton admire his high-pressing engine
Leeds United, also in the relegation scrap, want him as a midfield upgrade
Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are monitoring his progress
With so many clubs circling, West Ham must move quickly if they want to secure the Super Eagles prospect before the window gets too chaotic.
In other Nigerian-football-meets-Premier-League news, Chrisantus Uche finally opened his goal account for Crystal Palace — and what a confidence booster it was.
Starting under manager Oliver Glasner during Palace’s European trip to Shelbourne, Uche made an instant impact. Just 11 minutes in, he timed his run into the box perfectly to convert Eddie Nketiah’s sharp low cross.
A simple tap-in, yes…
But for a young forward at a new club, it’s the kind of moment that changes everything.
