Barcelona’s basketball section is entering the 2025-26 campaign with a payroll of €28,750,000 (before taxes), which is nearly €3 million less than the 2024-25 season.
FC Barcelona has announced its payroll for the upcoming 2025-26 season.
In a press conference on Monday, Barcelona’s director, Xavi O’Callaghan, revealed a decreased payroll for the basketball section.
For the upcoming season, the basketball team’s payroll will be €28,750,000 before taxes. In comparison to the previous season, the Spanish powerhouse allocated €31.5 million for their players and coaches’ salaries, which also include youth teams.
The club director also confirmed that the basketball section spent exactly what was planned for the 2024-25 season.
Barcelona has retained the majority of its core players from last season, parting ways with Jabari Parker, Justin Anderson, Chimezie Metu, and retired sharpshooter Alex Abrines.
At the same time, the club signed a few high-profile veterans, including Tornike Shengelia, Will Clyburn, and American wing Myles Cale from the EuroCup.
