Crystal Palace have reached an agreement on personal terms with Leicester City midfielder Bilal El Khannouss.
That’s according to journalist Santi Aouna, who reports that talks continue between Crystal Palace and Leicester over a transfer fee.
According to his information, Palace have already seen a €20m bid for the Moroccan midfielder rejected by the Foxes.
El Khannouss appears to be the replacement for Eberechi Eze, with reports today stating that he’s agreed personal terms with Tottenham and is now pushing to move there this summer. In fact, he is expected to be left out of Crystal Palace’s clash with Chelsea on Sunday.
Should he depart he’d leave a huge hole in Oliver Glasner’s squad, and a report today stated that Crystal Palace were already in talks with his potential replacement.
That might be El Khannouss and the fact that Palace have an agreement in place with him on personal terms is a major step forwards.
They now need to work out a deal with Leicester, who will presumably want to at least recover the €22.5m that they paid to sign the 21-year-old from KRC Genk last summer.
