Giovanni Simeone has trained with Napoli for the final time and is now expected to travel north to complete his permanent transfer to Torino.
Various outlets, including Corriere dello Sport, are reporting that a final agreement is in place between Napoli and Torino for the sale of Simeone, and that the 30-year-old is due to travel to Turin in the imminent future to complete the last formalities of his transfer.
Football Italia understands that the two clubs have shook hands over an €8m price tag for Simeone, the son of Atletico Madrid head coach Diego.
What will the structure of Simeone’s Napoli exit look like?
According to Corriere dello Sport, the deal will be structured as an initial season-long loan at a cost of €1.5m, with a future option to buy clause set at €5.5m, plus a set of easily achievable bonuses to reach the full €8m mark.
Torino will be the sixth Serie A club of Simeone’s career, following previous stints with Genoa, Fiorentina, Cagliari, Hellas Verona and Napoli.
