Osimhen’s Saudi Move Could Hit €235M

Victor Osimhen has already rejected a move to Saudi Arabia this summer but it seems as though Al-Hilal doesn’t want to take no for an answer, according to Soccernet.ng.

Osimhen is a wanted man this summer after putting himself in the shop window last season by scoring 37 goals in 41 games during an impressive loan spell at Galatasaray.

The 26-year-old Super Eagles striker has been linked with many of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Manchester United and even Premier League Liverpool, who were recently reported to have offered Napoli two players in part exchange.

But the most lucrative option would be a move to the Saudi Pro League, where the salaries are tax free.

Al-Hilal increase salary offer to Victor Osimhen
Osimhen has already knocked back Al-Hilal once this summer, but the Riyadh outfit are hopeful of changing his mind with a revised offer, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Italian newspaper reports that Al-Hilal are now offering Osimhen an annual salary of €40million for three years, plus an option for a fourth. It is also claimed that Napoli are willing to sell Osimhen for €75m.

Al-Hilal are therefore prepared to pay a total of €235m for four years of the Nigerian superstar.

Will Osimhen choose money or fame?
A move to Saudi Arabia would make Osimhen and his family for many generations very rich.

But it would perhaps lower his standing in global football, as the Saudi Pro League is still way behind Europe’s top leagues — both in terms of eyeballs and quality.

For example, if he were to join a European powerhouse and go on to win the Champions League then he could plausibly be in the conversation for the Ballon d’Or in the coming years, while that would be virtually impossible if playing in Saudi Arabia.
