Eric Dier Joins AS Monaco
AS Monaco is pleased to announce the arrival of Eric Dier from Bayern Munich, from July 1, 2025. The 31-year-old English central defender will sign a 3-year contract and will be tied with the Club until June 30, 2028.
Eric Dier will come to the Principality after a full season with Bayern Munich, where he arrived in January 2024. A regular starter in the Bavarian defense, he played an active role in winning the Bundesliga title and in the club’s impressive run in the Champions League, reaching the quarter-finals.
Close to 370 matches with Spurs
Before this adventure, Eric Dier spent a significant part of his career at Tottenham, where he played for ten seasons. Signed in 2014, he established himself as a key player thanks to his versatility and consistency. His performances helped Spurs achieve a historic run to the 2019 Champions League final.
With the London club, the Cheltenham-born player (January 15, 1994) made 365 appearances, earning two Premier League podium finishes and reaching two League Cup finals.
A pillar for the Three Lions
His excellent club performances earned him a spot in the England national team starting in 2015. He has 49 caps and 3 goals with the Three Lions, participating in Euro 2016 and the 2018 and 2022 World Cups.
Before making a name for himself on the international stage, Eric Dier began his career in Portugal, where he grew up with his family and was trained at Sporting CP. With rich experience gained across Europe and with the national team, Eric Dier will now join AS Monaco to strengthen the Rouge et Blanc squad.
