Barcelona forward Ansu Fati reportedly turned down a late €15 million move to Saudi Arabia on deadline day.
Fati’s future has been the subject of speculation throughout the winter, although Hansi Flick has said that the forward had no interest in leaving.
According to Diario Sport, Fati did have the opportunity to head away on deadline day but turned down the chance to head to the Middle East.
Saudi side Al-Shabab made an offer of €10 million plus €5m in add-ons for Fati but saw their bid rejected.
Fati will now spend the rest of the season with Barca but it remains to be seen how much game time he will actually see.
Flick says he’s been honest with Fati about his situation which suggests he isn’t really in his plans for the next few months.
Fati has managed just eight appearances so far this season, and started just once, and it’s hard to see that situation changing any time soon.
