Arteta Unfazed by Haaland’s “Stay Humble” Comment
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has stated that he does not take Manchester City striker Erling Haaland’s “stay humble” comment personally.
The two teams will meet again on Sunday, just over four months after the intense 2-2 draw at the Etihad, where Haaland’s 97th-minute equalizer led to an emotional confrontation at the final whistle.
Haaland’s remark towards Arteta was followed by an exchange between the Norwegian striker and Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus.
Reflecting on the incident, Arteta said, “I don’t take anything personally. What happens on the pitch stays there. It’s full of emotions, and I just leave it aside and move on.”
