Bayer Leverkusen boss confirms Boniface ready for action
Bayer Leverkusen manager, Xabi Alonso has revealed Victor Boniface is ready to return to action, reports DAILY POST.
Boniface has been sidelined since undergoing surgery for an adductor injury in January.
The Nigeria international has worked his way back to full fitness in recent weeks.
The 23-year-old is now in line to feature in Leverkusen’s DFB Pokal semi-final clash with Fortuna Dusseldorf on Wednesday.
“We have no injured players. Everyone could be available for the squad,” Alonso told a press conference.
“Boniface could play a part of the game. He trained hard and came through it with a strong mentality. He can’t wait to be back on the pitch.”
