Croatian Football Federation Finalizes New TV Deals
The Croatian Football Federation (HNS) has secured broadcasting and marketing rights deals worth €59.2m for the competitions organised by the national association with Hrvatski Telekom and SuperSport respectively.
Hrvatski Telekom, a Croatian telecommunications company founded in 1998 and based in Zagreb, won the television rights tender with a €49.2m, five-year deal that will last until the end of the 2030-31 season.
Meanwhile SuperSport, Croatia’s largest betting operator, secured the marketing, betting rights and data rights tender with a €10m offer over four years. The contract may also be extended for a further two campaigns.
“The Executive Board of the Croatian Football Federation made a decision to select a partner for television, marketing and betting rights for competitions under the auspices of the Croatian Football Association from the 2026-27 season,” explained HNS President Marijan Kustić following the competition of the deals.
“The offers received confirmed the high value of Croatian club football, which also shows that we conducted this tender at the right time, at the end of the most exciting season in the history of the Croatian National Football League, which brought record viewership in the stands and in front of small screens.
“We can be very pleased with the fact that at a time when TV rights amounts are stagnating or falling in some leagues, we are signing the largest contract in Croatia so far, in the amount of almost €60 million, which will be very significant for the financial stability of our clubs. “
Kustić also lauded the two tender victors, suggesting both have been crucial to the growth of the league in recent years.
“Hrvatski Telekom and SuperSport have proven to be very reliable, constructive and dedicated partners with whom we have significantly improved our competitions and we will continue to work in that direction.”
The deals demonstrate an almost 33% increase in value compared to the deal signed in 2022 which was worth a combined €44million.
