Tottenham target Bournemouth star Eli Junior Kroupi as Roberto De Zerbi eyes £80m transfer

Tottenham eye £80m Bournemouth star Eli Junior Kroupi as Roberto De Zerbi’s summer rebuild gathers pace

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing another major move in the transfer market, with Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi emerging as Roberto De Zerbi’s preferred attacking target.

The highly rated France Under-21 international enjoyed a breakthrough Premier League campaign last season and has attracted interest from several of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Spurs identify Kroupi as priority target

According to Football London, Tottenham have made Kroupi their leading option to strengthen the left side of the attack.

The 20-year-old impressed during his first full Premier League season, scoring 13 goals in 33 league appearances and setting a new record for the most goals scored by a teenager in a debut Premier League campaign.

His pace, direct dribbling and eye for goal have made him one of the most sought-after young forwards in Europe.

Bournemouth set £80m asking price

Bournemouth are under no pressure to sell and are expected to demand at least £80 million for one of their prized assets.

Kroupi remains under contract at the Vitality Stadium until 2030, putting the Cherries in a strong negotiating position.

Tottenham will also have to overcome fierce competition, with Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain both monitoring the France Under-21 international closely.

Despite the interest, Spurs believe De Zerbi’s long-term project could persuade Kroupi that north London is the right destination for the next stage of his career.

De Zerbi exploring multiple attacking options

While Kroupi is currently Tottenham’s preferred target, he is not the only wide attacker under consideration.

AC Milan winger Rafael Leao and Manchester City forward Savinho also feature on the club’s shortlist as De Zerbi looks to reshape his attack.

Tottenham are additionally exploring the possibility of signing another centre-forward to provide greater competition for Richarlison and Dominic Solanke.

Busy summer continues at Tottenham

Spurs have already enjoyed an active transfer window as they continue strengthening several areas of the squad.

The club have completed deals for Martin Dubravka, Marco Senesi, Andy Robertson, Jan Paul van Hecke and Mateus Fernandes, while also agreeing a package reportedly worth up to £100 million for Sandro Tonali.

Goalkeeper James Trafford has also been linked with a move to north London as De Zerbi continues to build a squad capable of challenging near the top of the Premier League.

With Kroupi now emerging as Tottenham’s primary attacking target, another blockbuster transfer could soon be on the agenda.
