The Basketball Africa League Sahara Conference delivered more excitement on Sunday as two key results shaped the playoff race at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.
Al Ahly and FUS Rabat both claimed impressive victories to strengthen their positions in the standings.
Al Ahly Edge Tough Contest Against ASC Ville De Dakar
In the day’s opening matchup, Al Ahly secured their first win of the Sahara Conference with a hard-fought 76-72 victory over ASC Ville de Dakar.
The Egyptian side stayed composed in the closing moments to seal an important result and hand their opponents a second straight defeat.
Kevin Murphy starred for Al Ahly with:

- 6 rebounds
For Dakar, Ater Majok led the fightback with:
- 16 points
- 7 rebounds
FUS Rabat Dominate Nigeria’s Maktown Flyers
The evening clash belonged to hosts FUS Rabat, who thrilled the home fans with a commanding 97-72 victory over Maktown Flyers.
The Moroccan side controlled the tempo from start to finish and maintained their unbeaten start in the conference.
Top performers included Abdoulaye Harouna and Will Perry, who combined for:
- 50 points
- 10 rebounds
- 11 assists
FUS Rabat also shot an impressive 50 percent from the field.
For the Flyers, Tyrell Corbin and Ogbodeje Abah each scored 13 points.
