Osimhen And Icardi On Target As Galatasaray Cruise Past Kayserispor
Victor Osimhen was among the goals as Galatasaray delivered a dominant performance to secure a convincing 4–0 victory over Kayserispor in their Turkish Super Lig Round 20 encounter at RAMS Park.
The league leaders controlled proceedings from start to finish, capitalising on defensive lapses and maintaining relentless pressure to keep their title charge firmly on track.
Fast Start Sets The Tone
Galatasaray wasted no time asserting their authority and took the lead in the 7th minute through an unfortunate own goal. Under intense pressure inside the box, Kayserispor defender Aaron Opoku diverted the ball into his own net, handing the hosts an early advantage.
With confidence flowing, Galatasaray continued to dominate possession and territory, pinning the visitors deep in their own half.
Osimhen Doubles The Advantage
The breakthrough was followed by a deserved second goal in the 26th minute. Victor Osimhen calmly stepped up to convert from the penalty spot after a foul inside the area, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way to make it 2–0.
The Nigerian striker’s movement and physical presence caused constant problems for Kayserispor’s defence, setting the tone for another commanding display.
Second-Half Control And Clinical Finishing
Galatasaray emerged from the break with the same intensity. Their dominance was rewarded again in the 60th minute when Gabriel Sara finished confidently after being teed up by Osimhen, extending the lead to three.
Kayserispor struggled to cope with the hosts’ tempo and creativity, offering little resistance as Galatasaray dictated the pace of the game.
Icardi Seals It Late
The scoring was completed deep into stoppage time. Sustained pressure forced another foul in the penalty area, and Mauro Icardi made no mistake from the spot in the 90+4th minute, rounding off a comprehensive 4–0 win.
Title Push Continues
The result keeps Galatasaray firmly in the hunt at the top of the Super Lig table, showcasing their attacking depth and defensive solidity. For Kayserispor, the defeat compounds their struggles as they remain entrenched in the relegation battle.
With Osimhen and Icardi both finding the net, Galatasaray once again underlined their status as serious contenders for domestic glory.
