‘He Can’t Do It Alone’ – Karim Benzema Urges Real Madrid To Give Kylian Mbappe More Support
Karim Benzema has sent a clear message to Real Madrid: Kylian Mbappe may be unstoppable, but he cannot carry the club alone.
Speaking on Mbappe’s blistering start to the season, the former Real Madrid captain praised the French forward’s elite level — but also emphasized that Los Blancos must offer him more help if they expect a Champions League-winning season.
Mbappe: Madrid’s One-Man Army This Season
Mbappe has been nothing short of devastating since landing in Madrid.
With 18 goals in 16 games, he’s topping the La Liga scoring charts once again and dragging Real Madrid forward in every major competition.
He was the talisman for Carlo Ancelotti.
He’s the talisman for Xabi Alonso.
He’s the heartbeat, the spark, the finisher, and sometimes even the problem-solver.
But Benzema believes Madrid cannot rely solely on Mbappe’s brilliance.
“He Can’t Do It Alone” — Benzema Sends a Warning
Benzema, a legend at Real Madrid with 354 goals in 648 matches, had plenty to say:
“Mbappe is much better this season; scoring goals isn’t new to him. He did it at PSG, and at Real Madrid he’ll score many more. But he can’t do it alone.”
He stressed the need for cohesion in attack:
“He has to combine with Vini Jr. Real Madrid need him a lot. These are the games he’s signed for — Atlético, Liverpool — the big ones. He needs Vini Jr, other players… that’s just how it is.”
Benzema name-checked the entire attacking unit — Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, Bellingham — urging them to communicate, link up, and create a front line capable of overwhelming Europe’s biggest teams.
This is classic Madrid DNA:
One superstar doesn’t define the season. The system does.
Bellingham’s Role: “Focus On The Right Moments”
Jude Bellingham has been recovering from injury and form issues, but Benzema still believes the Englishman is crucial to Madrid’s balance.
He explained:
“We’re not going to tell Bellingham to score because that’s Mbappe’s job. We’re not going to tell him to be the 10 because that’s Bellingham’s role. They need to talk.”
The message is simple:
Mbappe is the finisher. Bellingham is the engine. Vinicius Jr is the chaos. Rodrygo is the connector.
And Madrid needs all of them firing together if they want to bring the Champions League back to the Bernabéu.
What This Means for Real Madrid’s Season
Benzema’s comments reflect what many fans and analysts have been whispering:
Real Madrid look dangerous — but incomplete.
✔ Mbappe will score
✔ Vinicius will explode
✔ Bellingham will create
✔ Rodrygo will shine when given minutes
But the chemistry isn’t fully formed yet.
And in a season with massive expectations, trophy drought memories, and fierce rivals, cohesion is everything.
