Gabon Panthers Settle In Benslimane Ahead Of Super Eagles Clash In 2026 FIFA World Cup Playoffs
The Gabon national football team, also known as the Panthers, have settled in Benslimane ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup playoff clash with Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
The West African side kicked off their preparations with their first official training session on Monday night, under the watchful eye of head coach Thierry Mouyouma and his coaching staff.
Squad And Preparations
Coach Mouyouma has called up a 26-man squad for the semi-final playoffs. Training is set to intensify today as the Panthers fine-tune their tactics and fitness ahead of the highly anticipated encounter.
The match against Nigeria will take place at the Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex in Rabat on Thursday, kicking off at 5pm Nigeria time.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the clash, which promises to be a competitive showdown as both teams aim to secure a place in the final stage of the Intercontinental Playoffs for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
