El Aynaoui Cleared For Roma Medical In €25m Deal
According to L’Equipe, RC Lens have given Neil El Aynaoui permission to fly out for his Roma medical, in a deal worth €23.5m plus add-ons.
There had already been multiple reports over the last 24 hours that the two clubs had agreed on a transfer fee, and this morning the Giallorossi decided to make it stick.
Now the 24-year-old has been authorised to make the trip to the Eternal City for his medical tests and to sign the five-year contract.
He is expected to be in Rome by Monday at the latest, according to the French paper.
How much El Aynaoui will cost Roma
The figures are a little more specific here, as L’Equipe maintain the cost of the operation is €23.5m plus add-ons to reach a total of €25m.
This would include a percentage of the profit made from any future sale, rather than a cut of the total fee if he is resold.
The French-Moroccan midfielder played his international football for Morocco at Under-23 level.
He came up through the Nancy youth academy and was sold to Lens for just €600,000 in the summer of 2023.
