Ronaldo Urges Al Nassr To Bid For Barca Target
According to SPORT, it has come to light that Cristiano Ronaldo has personally asked Al Nassr to try and sign Liverpool forward Luis Diaz, who is also one of Barcelona’s top transfer targets this summer.
The Colombian winger is at the centre of one of the biggest transfer sagas of the current window, with several major clubs pushing to secure his signature.
For months now, Diaz has been clear about one thing that he wants to leave Liverpool. The Premier League club are aware of his intentions and are open to letting him go, but there is one major obstacle: the asking price.
Liverpool want more than €100 million for the Colombian, which has complicated negotiations.
Barcelona, despite their strong interest, are currently not in a financial position to meet that demand. Diaz has made it known through his inner circle that playing for Barcelona is his first choice, but he is also realistic.
The Catalan club still hope to find a solution, but time is running out, and Liverpool are not willing to lower their price.
Bayern Munich have also entered the picture, with reports suggesting they are ready to offer more than €60 million, but Liverpool have made it clear they want significantly more. That’s where Al Nassr comes in.
The Saudi club is, so far, the only side that has indicated a willingness to meet Liverpool’s full €100 million valuation.
Cristiano Ronaldo has personally requested that Al Nassr push for the deal, seeing Diaz as the next star to boost the profile of the Saudi Pro League.
For now, Diaz has shown no real interest in leaving Europe. Despite several approaches from Saudi Arabia in recent months, the Colombian has remained firm in his desire to continue competing at the top level of European football.
With the transfer window heating up, Barcelona are still keeping an eye on the situation. Deco continues to view Diaz as one of the club’s top priorities.
However, no final decision has been made by the player, and the next few weeks will be crucial in determining where he will play next season.
