Showtime Opens Nigeria Flag Football QB Camp
As the dust settles from the electric Showtime Bowl XII and Nigeria celebrates its national team’s selection for the inaugural African Flag Football Tournament in Egypt, Showtime Flag Football League isn’t slowing down—it’s doubling down on development.
In a bold and inclusive move, Showtime is introducing its Quarterback Camp (QB Camp), designed to identify, train, and elevate the next generation of flag football quarterbacks and team leaders in Nigeria.
The camp opens Sunday, June 22 and will run every Sunday from 1PM to 4PM at Showtime Arena. It is open to everyone—whether you’re a newcomer just discovering the game or a returning athlete looking to become a commanding QB1 next season.
“This camp is about access, growth, and building a deeper understanding of the game,” said Showtime Chairman Azeez Amida. “There’s no gatekeeping here. If you want to lead, we’ll give you the tools to lead. If you want to learn, we’ll teach you the game. Our mission is to grow flag football across Nigeria, and this is another step forward.”
Coming off a landmark season that featured over 33 games, 312 touchdowns, a nationwide demonstration campaign, and a record-setting Showtime Bowl watched across 40+ countries, the QB Camp is further proof that Showtime is committed to sustainable talent development—not hype.
This follows Showtime’s recent announcements of:
League expansion to Ogun, Ondo, Enugu, Kwara, Bayelsa, and Akwa Ibom states,
A new U-10 Flag Football Clinic in Lagos,
And ambitious plans to build dedicated flag football infrastructure across Nigeria.
> “We’re not waiting for the future—we’re building it,” Amida added. “We’re preparing athletes, coaches, and leaders who will shape this sport at national and continental levels.”
If you’ve been inspired by the Showtime Bowl, or dream of being the playmaker who leads your team to glory, QB Camp is where your journey starts.
No prior experience needed. Just bring your energy, your drive, and your willingness to learn.
Because at Showtime, everyone gets a shot to shine.
