Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo is currently without a club, but that is expected to change this summer, according to Soccernet.ng.
The 31-year-old defender has been without a club since his contract with Turkish Super Lig clubs Kasimpasa was terminated on mutual consent.
Since then, he has only been posting pictures of himself training on social media.
Meanwhile, Omeruo has been linked with different clubs in Turkey and the MLS, but nothing has come up despite the speculations.
Now, in a new development per Transfermarkt, Romanian giants CFR Cluj, are keep tabs on him. The eight-time Romanian League champions want to bolster their squad to aid their push for league, which they have not won in three years.
Cluj will also play in Europe next season, so a player like Omeruo, who has a lot of experience would definitely help them a lot.
However, they would have to table a decent offer for Omeruo, as the Super Eagles star is already in his 30s. If they don’t, and Omeruo gets a bigger offer elsewhere, he will likely snub Cluj.
Omeruo is one of the most senior players still in the Super Eagles fold. Aside from Ahmed Musa, Omeruo is the only player from the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations who is still active with the Super Eagles.
