The Delta State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has presented outfits to its state contingent ahead of the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) 2026, reaffirming its commitment to promoting the state’s identity and professional image on the international stage.
The presentation took place on Monday, October 19, 2026, at the office of Chief Patrick Ukah at the Delta State Secretariat Annex. The Chapter Chairman, Mr Godfrey C. Osakwe, presented the outfits on behalf of the chapter’s executive.
Chief Ukah, a member of the NIPR Governing Council, immediate past chairman of the Delta State NIPR Chapter, and member of the WPRF National Planning Committee, expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as a thoughtful demonstration of support for the state delegation.
Reacting to the presentation, Ukah thanked Osakwe and the chapter’s executive for their commitment to ensuring that the Delta State contingent is adequately represented at the international gathering.
He described the gesture as a reflection of the chapter’s support and collective commitment to projecting Delta State positively before a global audience.
Ukah also called for unity and collaboration among members of the contingent as preparations continue for the forum, scheduled to take place in Abuja from November 15 to 21, 2026.
He emphasised the importance of using the gathering to showcase the state’s identity, potential and achievements to participants from different parts of the world.
The World Public Relations Forum is an international gathering that brings together public relations practitioners, communication professionals and industry stakeholders to exchange ideas, discuss emerging trends and strengthen professional relationships.
For Delta State, participation in the 2026 edition presents an opportunity to increase its international visibility and highlight its achievements and development potential.
The forum is also expected to provide a platform for knowledge sharing, professional networking and discussions on the evolving role of public relations in organisational reputation, strategic communication and stakeholder engagement.
The Delta State NIPR Chapter’s presentation of outfits underscores the importance of professional representation at such events, where participants serve not only as industry professionals but also as ambassadors of their respective states and institutions.
The initiative reflects the chapter’s commitment to supporting its contingent and ensuring that members represent Delta State with professionalism at the international forum.
Beyond the presentation, the event highlights the role of professional associations in encouraging collaboration, strengthening institutional identity and creating opportunities for members to engage with the wider international communication community.
As preparations continue for WPRF 2026, the Delta State contingent is expected to contribute to conversations that advance public relations practice while promoting the state’s profile before an international audience.
The forum will provide another opportunity for Nigerian communication professionals to connect with their counterparts globally, exchange expertise and explore developments shaping the future of the public relations industry.
Sports Marketing International will continue to bring readers updates on professional associations, public relations, strategic communication and significant developments across Nigeria and the international community.
