Former Remo Stars midfield dynamo, Dayo Ojo, has been named ASVO FC’s Player of the Season, capping off an outstanding campaign in the heart of the Beninese club’s midfield.
Ojo, known for his tactical intelligence and composure under pressure, delivered six vital goals and three assists, playing a pivotal role in ASVO FC’s successful run this season.
His combination of vision, strength, and playmaking prowess made him a consistent match-winner and an indispensable part of Coach Fatai Osho’s tactical setup.
Reacting to the honour, Ojo expressed his gratitude to the club and fans:
> “I’m humbled by this recognition. It’s been a season of hard work and unity. I thank Coach Osho, my teammates, and the supporters who believed in me.”
Since joining the Benin Republic outfit, Ojo has grown into a leadership figure on and off the pitch, helping to stabilize the midfield and inspire younger players. His resurgence under Coach Osho – his former boss at Remo Stars – has been a key storyline in ASVO FC’s rise this season.
Coach Fatai Osho also praised the midfielder, stating:
> “Dayo brings calmness, experience, and flair. His contributions have been immense and this award is well deserved.”
The recognition adds another chapter to Ojo’s impressive career, and with his current form, the veteran midfielder could be on the radar for bigger challenges ahead — either in the regional league or on a return to the Nigerian topflight.
