SSA Adeyinka’s Eid Salute: Praises Tinubu, Calls For Muslim Peace
As the holy festival of Eid-el-Kabir unfolds in solemn celebration across Nigeria and beyond, Hon. Adeboye Anthony Adeyinka, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Grassroots Sports Development, has extended warm wishes to the Muslim faithful, calling for national unity, discipline, and collective purpose.
But this was no routine felicitation. Adeyinka used the opportunity to spotlight the strategic impact of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s backing of grassroots sports, which he described as “a visionary leap that will shape Nigeria’s future beyond the football pitch.”
“This Eid, while we celebrate faith, sacrifice, and obedience, let us also reflect on the systems we’re building for the next generation,” Adeyinka said. “Thanks to President Tinubu’s bold commitment to grassroots sports development, Nigerian youth now have a new runway to purpose, professionalism, and pride.”
As one of the key drivers of youth-based sports revitalization, Adeyinka has been instrumental in connecting local communities with national policy. His office recently secured partnerships with stakeholders through the Sports Africa Investment Summit (SAIS2025)—a bold move designed to bring both capital and credibility to Nigeria’s grassroots sporting ecosystem.
“The President didn’t just give us a mandate; he gave us a mission,” Adeyinka noted. “From inner-city football corners to rural tracks, there’s movement. There’s momentum. And this administration is determined to sustain it.”
Adeyinka urged Muslim faithful to let the teachings of Eid—sacrifice, faith, and giving—guide everyday engagement with both national service and community development. He emphasized that sports remain one of Nigeria’s strongest cultural bridges, capable of uniting tribes, religions, and regions under one flag.
“My message is simple: let’s channel the energy of Eid into building peace, opportunities, and champions—in sports and in life,” he said.
