Robbery At Super Eagles Star’s Turkey Home, England Move Looms
Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel has reportedly had his home burgled in Turkey, as speculation intensifies over his future away from Fenerbahçe.
According to Turkish outlet Sports Digitale as per Milliyet, the 27-year-old Nigerian defender was left shaken after thieves broke into his residence in Istanbul.
The report claims that while no injuries were reported during the incident, local police have launched an investigation. Further details surrounding the burglary remain undisclosed.
The unsettling development comes at a time of significant uncertainty for Osayi-Samuel, whose contract with the Turkish Super Lig giants expires at the end of the season.
Talks over a contract renewal have broken down, and the versatile full-back is now widely expected to make a return to England — four years after leaving Queens Park Rangers for Istanbul in a €500,000 deal.

Reports suggest that Osayi-Samuel has already sent some of his personal belongings back to England, fuelling rumours that a Premier League or Championship switch could be imminent. Clubs in England are believed to be monitoring his situation closely.
Since arriving at Fenerbahçe in 2021, the Nigeria international has become a key figure at the club. He has featured in 176 matches across all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing several assists. This season alone, Osayi-Samuel made 37 appearances and registered eight assists, highlighting his importance to the Yellow-Navy Blues.
The Lagos-born defender has earned 22 caps for Nigeria and remains a trusted figure within the Super Eagles setup. Known for his pace, physicality, and commitment on both ends of the pitch, Osayi-Samuel has built a reputation as one of the most dynamic right-backs in Turkish football.
With the summer transfer window fast approaching, the burglary is an unwelcome distraction for a player on the brink of a major career move.
Police are continuing their investigation into the break-in, while Fenerbahçe have yet to make an official statement on the matter.
