Ancelotti Pens Emotional Real Madrid Farewell
Following the confirmation of Luka Modric’s departure on Thursday, Real Madrid today officially announced the exit of manager Carlo Ancelotti.
The Italian tactician’s impending departure was already known, with the Brazilian national team having announced him as their next manager.
However, an official confirmation from Real Madrid bidding goodbye to the most decorated manager in their history was yet to arrive, which it did earlier today.
Ancelotti pens emotional farewell
Ancelotti will take charge of Real Madrid for one last time tomorrow when they take on Real Sociedad in La Liga at the Santiago Bernabeu.
A grand farewell event is being planned for the Italian icon in front of a packed home support. And ahead of his imminent exit, Ancelotti has penned an emotional farewell to the club and the fans.
“Today we part ways again. Once again, I carry with me in my heart every moment of this wonderful second stint as Real Madrid manager,” started Ancelotti.
“They have been unforgettable years, an incredible journey filled with emotions, titles, and, above all, the pride of representing this club.”
Thanking Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, everyone else at the club, and the fans he further wrote:
Thanks to President Florentino Perez, the club, my players, my staff, and, above all, to this unique fan base that has always made me feel like one of them.
“What we’ve achieved together will forever remain in the memory of Real Madrid fans, not only for the triumphs, but for the way we achieved them. The magical nights at the Bernabeu are now part of football history.”
Concluding, Ancelotti wrote: “Now a new adventure begins, but my bond with Real Madrid is eternal. See you soon, Real Madrid fans.
“Hala Madrid Y Nada Más!”
Ancelotti leaves Real Madrid as the manager with the most trophies in the club’s history (15), and will now take charge of the Brazilian national team.
