Yamal, Pedri Said “It’s Time To Enjoy” After Barcelona Beat Real Madrid 4-3
Barcelona’s 4-3 win over Real Madrid was packed with drama, but one thing was clear that Lamine Yamal once again stepped up when it mattered most.
The 17-year-old forward was one of the most decisive players on the pitch, helping Barça take a massive step towards the La Liga title.
Speaking after the game, Yamal highlighted just how crucial the result was. “It was a very important game to gain a considerable lead.
“After the Champions League match, it was very important to win, and even more so if it was against Madrid,” he said. “Now is the time to enjoy it.”
Appreciating the support
He also made sure to thank the fans for their loyalty, especially given the challenges of playing away from Camp Nou this season.
“The way the fans support us is very special. It hasn’t been an easy year because we haven’t played at the Camp Nou and they’ve had to travel here. We’re very grateful,” he added.
Yamal also admitted that the pain of the Champions League exit is still there, but this win helped ease it.
“I told my mother, the Champions League comes every year. We will keep trying, but today was important to win to get closer to the league title.”
Pedri praises team spirit
Pedri, who once again controlled the midfield with calmness and precision, gave credit to his teammates for their comeback. “The team came out with a historic mess, but we showed once again that we can turn it around,” he told Barça One.
When asked about his assist for Raphinha, Pedri explained: “I saw Kylian wanted to change wings, I took the ball and passed it to Rapha, who finished like one of the best in the world.”
However, Pedri didn’t hold back when talking about the refereeing decisions. “There were some plays that we couldn’t explain, like the penalty.
“I spoke with Lamine at the end about how we needed to stay calm,” he said, showing his leadership on and off the pitch.
