Mo Salah Back With a Bang As Liverpool Batter Brentford

Mo Salah marked his return from injury with a goal and an assist as Liverpool won 4-1 at Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday.

Darwin Nunez, Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo also scored for the Reds.

Ivan Toney netted a late consolation goal for the home team.

Salah had missed Liverpool’s previous eight matches after going to the Africa Cup of Nations and then suffering a hamstring problem.

His return to the field on Saturday came slightly earlier than expected when he was brought on just before half-time to replace the injured Diogo Jota.

Jota left on a stretcher after Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard had fallen on the Portugal international’s left knee.
