NWFL Reschedules Second Stanza Kick-off Date for 2023/24 Premiership Season
The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has officially adjusted the commencement date for the second stanza of the 2023/2024 Premiership season, pushing it back by two weeks.
In response to unforeseen circumstances, the NWFL has strategically adjusted the schedule, necessitating a modification to the highly anticipated resumption date for the second round.
Initially set for Wednesday, January 31, the new kick-off date is now scheduled for Wednesday, 14th February 2024, reflecting a two-week postponement.
This decision, carefully deliberated by the league’s leadership, including the Board Members and diligent staff, aims to enhance the overall experience of the ongoing season.
Acknowledging the potential implications for team preparations and schedules, the NWFL extends a sincere apology for any resulting inconvenience.

Additionally, the conclusion of January 10, 2024, marked the end of the seven weeks of action-packed FIRST ROUND, delivering thrilling encounters and showcasing the league’s potential talent pool and commitment to excellence.
First stanza’s statistics tell a compelling story of competitiveness, with a mix of 14 draws and six away victories underscoring the league’s dynamic nature. Fans witnessed 117 goals across the seven weeks, a testament to the skill and talent within the NWFL.
