The global body for football in the world, FIFA has secured a partnership extension with the American multinational payment card services company, Visa.
With this extension, Visa continues to be the official partner of FIFA until 2026.
The deal between the two entities came into action in 2007 for the first time.
Through this renewal, the company will continue to serve as FIFA’s global partner for payment technologies to offer a seamless and secure commerce experience for FIFA’s passionate fans on-site.
In addition, Visa cardholders will benefit from pre-sale periods for FIFA events and will have unique access to all FIFA competitions, including the 2026 men’s World Cup in Canada, the US, and Mexico.
Speaking on the extension, Gianni Infantino, President, FIFA, said, “FIFA is thrilled to partner with Visa and to focus our strong partnership on what will be a very bright future. Visa’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the fan experience, coupled with its innovative approach to payment technology, aligns with FIFA’s vision to make football truly global and accessible to all. We look forward to delivering exceptional moments for fans across the globe.”
Oliver Jenkyn, Visa’s Group President of Global Markets, stated, “We’re excited to continue our long-standing partnership and deliver seamless payment experiences as part of one of the world’s most popular sporting events.”
