Tottenham want to sign a new center-back in the coming transfer window and have started negotiations with Genoa for Radu Dragusin.
The North London side recently lost starting defender Cristian Romero to a hamstring injury that’ll keep him sidelined for at least a month and are only just recovering Micky van de Ven after his hamstring issue.
Dragusin has emerged as one of the most exciting young defenders in Serie A and his potential has attracted the attention of several top clubs in recent months, including Atalanta, Napoli, Manchester United and Newcastle United.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham’s first choice to reinforce their defense next month is Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo, and talks with the French side are currently ongoing. No agreement has been reached yet and the Premier League side do not want to be kept waiting.
Spurs’ backup option is Dragusin and they’ve recently opened talks with Genoa to explore a deal for the 21-year-old. Coach Ange Postecoglou has already given his approval to a deal and an offer could be sent at some point next week.
