Puma renews match ball contract with LALIGA
The multinational sportswear and equipment brand, Puma has announced a partnership extension with the top-tier Spanish football league, LALIGA.
Following the partnership, Puma continues to be the official match ball supplier to the Spanish top flight.
The renewal of the contract will commence from the 2024-25 season, as the current accord will conclude with the ongoing season. The current partnership was initially inked in the 2019-20 season.
Javier Ortega, Puma’s General Manager for Europe, said, “We are sure that this association will allow us to continue innovating in many areas, from sports technology and research to product design. We look forward to continuing building and exploring new and exciting opportunities in the world of national and international football together.”
Oscar Mayo, Executive Director of LALIGA, commented, “We share long-term goals with Puma as well as a way of understanding the sports industry that allows us to find very beneficial synergies, both for us and for all LaLiga fans.”
In the world of football, the global brand has signed partnerships with different tournaments and international football boards all over the world such as SPFL, Liga Portugal, EFL, CONMEBOL, and CAF in recent times.
Based in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria, Germany, Puma SE is a global corporation that creates and manufactures sports and leisure-wearing clothing, accessories, and footwear. Founded by Rudolf Dassler in 1948, the brand is currently the third-largest sportswear maker globally.
