Chairman APO Group Nicholas Pompigne Promises Support For Nigeria Rugby
Chairman APO Group, Nicholas Pompigne on Wednesday promised to give maximum support to the development of the game of Rugby in Nigeria.
The SA to the President of Rugby Africa made the promise during his courtesy visit to the Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF) Headquarters where he met with the President, Dr. Ademola Are at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
The visit follows the rapid development of the sport since the ban was lifted on the sport one and half a year ago. He was received on arrival by the President, Ademola Are, Head of Protocol, Mr Banji Adepoju, Head of Media, Dr. Okosun, and Head of Admin, Miss Sopurochukwu Eke.
He held a close door meeting with the federation president, Ademola Are where he pledged to give maximum support to the activities of NRFF.
Are took him round the national stadium to see some of the facilities after which he was presented with a plaque and a national team jersey.
“I am in Nigeria to encourage the federation’s bigwigs on their relentless efforts in developing the game since the ban was lifted. They have done a great job that is visible to the world.
To this end, I am here to give support to the federation to further contribute to the development of the sport in Nigeria.”
He also visited the Honourable Minister of Sports, Senator John Enoh in his office.
