Bonucci takes legal action against Juventus

Multiple reports in Italy claim Leonardo Bonucci will take legal action against Juventus after being frozen out from the team during the summer.

The Italy international was forced to train separately during the pre-season as he was no longer part of Massimiliano Allegri’s plans.

He joined Bundesliga side Union Berlin on a free transfer on the deadline day but Bonucci believes Juventus damaged him by keeping him out of the first team for several weeks.

As reported by Romeo Agresti and Gianluca Di Marzio, Bonucci will sue his ex-club who allegedly did not put him in the right condition to train, breaking the collective agreement with the Italian Association Of Footballers.

Di Marzio reports Bonucci worked at Juventus’ training ground in the evening and at different times from the rest of the team. He never met the technical staff and could not use all the training facilities. Bonucci’s lawyers, Antonio Conte and Gabriele Zuccheretti will file a legal action today.

The Italian defender has clarified that if he wins the court case, he will donate the sum to Neuroland, an NGO supporting families of kids hospitalised at the Department of Pediatric Neurosurgery at the Hospital Regina Margherita in Turin and Live Onlus, which buys and donates defibrillators for sports clubs, schools and municipalities.
