Nigeria Premier League, Clubs To Hold AGM, Draws In Abuja 29 August

The Nigeria Premier League (NPL) Board and 20 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clubs have scheduled the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for Tuesday 29th August which will allow for a very efficient organization of seasonal activities.

A notice from the CEO of the league, Davidson Owumi stated that the draw for the 2023/24 season would take place on the same day as the Abuja General Assembly.

The notice says the clubs are reminded that player registration, which has already started, will continue and clubs are asked to use the available pre-match window to complete the process of documenting their squad.

This will be the first General Assembly between the clubs and the new NPFL board chaired by Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye after their inauguration.

Sports Marketing International reports that last week, the board appointed a technical committee to select the NPL Team of the Month and eventually an all-star squad that would tour Spain as a big La Liga club.

Elegbeleye remarked at the inauguration of the nine-member committee that the all-star team could be a platform for the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) to form the core of the upcoming CHAN Eagles team.
