There are expected to be developments on the potential sale of Manchester United after the team return from their pre-season tour of the USA next week.
United announced in November last year that the Glazer family, who have owned the club since 2005, were looking to bring new investors into the club and would also consider a sale.
There have been two leading bidders for the club during the eight-month process.
Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani wants to buy 100 per cent of United while Sir Jim Ratcliffe wants to buy the Glazers 69 per cent stake and he would be willing to let them remain as minority shareholders.
Last month Sheikh Jassim made a fifth and final offer which valued the club at about £5 billion.
A resolution of the takeover saga would provide clarity for United manager Erik ten Hag who has been trying to strengthen his squad during this transfer window.
Former United player David Beckham has told The Athletic it is time for the Glazers to leave United. He also confirmed he had not been approached by any bidders.
