Sporting Lagos crash out of Federation Cup
Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side Sporting Lagos have been knocked out of the Federation Cup.
Paul Offor’s side were eliminated by Nigeria National League, NNL, side, Inter Lagos.
Inter Lagos claimed a 2-0 victory over their rivals in the semi-final fixture at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan on Thursday.
Tony Obia and Abubakar Taheer scored for Inter Lagos in the game.
Inter Lagos will face the winner between Ikorodu City FC and First Bank in the Lagos State Federation Cup final on Sunday.
Sporting Lagos joined the likes of Remo Stars and Heartland among the big guns that have been eliminated from the competition.
