Jose Mourinho makes his Premier League and Champions League predictions
Jose Mourinho has announced his picks for the Premier League and Champions League winners this season.
Additionally, he expressed his fondness for one of his former teams to clinch honours in the current campaign. Despite being out of work since his dismissal by Roma in January, Mourinho remains a prominent figure in football discussions, with his career often shadowed by the infamous third-season syndrome.
During an appearance on Rio Ferdinand’s FIVE YouTube channel, he entertained viewers with discussions about his near future, the challenges of reshaping the Manchester United dressing room, and his favuorite midfielder from England’s golden generation. Adding to the mix, he also shared his confident forecasts for both the Premier League and Champions League outcomes.
Mourinho stated:
“I would love Real Madrid to win it again for the club and for Carlo [Ancelotti]. I don’t know, Bayern Munich can do it, Paris Saint-Germain.
“Looking at potential, I think City/Liverpool for the Premier [League], City/Real for the Champions [League].”
Regarding domestic competitions, he briefly considered Manchester City and Liverpool before ultimately backing Pep Guardiola’s team by placing his faith in them.
To be fair to Mourinho, supporting former clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea for the Champions League would have been challenging, given they are not participating, and their prospects in England’s top flight are not promising either.
