How Arsenal Can Stop Khvicha Kvaratskhelia Ahead Of Champions League Final Clash With PSG
Arsenal are just one match away from making history, but standing between the Gunners and European glory is one terrifying problem — Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
As Mikel Arteta prepares his side for a blockbuster Champions League final clash against Paris Saint-Germain, concern is growing around Arsenal’s weakened right-back position. Club legend Ray Parlour has already admitted the situation is a “worry,” and fans across North London are beginning to feel the tension.
The Georgian superstar has become one of the most dangerous wingers in world football, and PSG will undoubtedly look to unleash him in Budapest on May 30.
Arsenal’s Biggest Test Yet
This season has already been unforgettable for Arsenal. The Gunners are still battling Manchester City for the Premier League title while also preparing for their first Champions League final in years.
But facing PSG is a completely different challenge.
With world-class stars like Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue, and Viktor Gyokeres all capable of deciding games, Arsenal know they cannot afford defensive mistakes. However, the spotlight is firmly on Kvaratskhelia because of his ability to destroy defenders one-on-one.
Ray Parlour did not hide his concern when discussing Arsenal’s defensive problems.
“He’s one of the best players I’ve seen for a long time,” Parlour explained. “What he does with the ball, the way he cuts inside, it’s a real worry.”
And honestly, Arsenal supporters have every reason to be nervous.
Injury Problems Could Force Tactical Changes
The possible absence of Jurrien Timber and Ben White could leave Arteta with very limited options at right-back.
That means Arsenal may need to completely adjust their style for the final.
Rather than allowing their full-backs to bomb forward as usual, the Gunners could adopt a more disciplined defensive structure designed specifically to stop PSG’s dangerous counter-attacks.
Parlour believes Arsenal’s defenders will need to stay deeper and focus almost entirely on defensive responsibilities.
“You’re probably not going to go forward too much against him,” Parlour added. “You need to stay switched on because you know how dangerous PSG are on the break.”
It could turn into a tactical chess match between Arteta and PSG boss Luis Enrique.
Can Arteta Find Another Masterstroke?
One thing Arsenal fans have learned this season is never to doubt Mikel Arteta’s ability to adapt.
The Spaniard has dealt with injuries across multiple positions all campaign long, yet Arsenal continue to compete at the highest level both domestically and in Europe.
Speaking ahead of the final, Arteta remained calm despite the growing concerns.
“We need to look at alternatives,” he admitted. “The good thing is we have experienced difficult situations this season and still managed to perform consistently.”
That confidence could prove vital.
Arsenal’s success this season has been built on resilience, tactical discipline, and belief. If they can find a way to neutralize Kvaratskhelia, they may finally lift the one trophy that has always escaped them.
All Eyes On Budapest
There is no bigger stage than a Champions League final, and this showdown promises drama, intensity, and elite football quality from start to finish.
Will Arsenal’s patched-up defense survive the brilliance of Kvaratskhelia and PSG’s explosive attack? Or can Arteta guide the Gunners to football immortality?
Football fans around the world will be watching closely.
