Fulham Boss Marco Silva Calls For Calm Over Samuel Chukwueze Permanent Deal Speculation
Fulham manager Marco Silva has called for patience amid growing speculation about making Samuel Chukwueze’s loan move from AC Milan permanent.
The Nigerian international joined the Cottagers on a season-long loan with an option to buy, and his eye-catching performances, including two goals against Manchester City, have sparked excitement among fans eager to see him secure a long-term future in West London.
Silva Speaks On Chukwueze’s Future
Speaking to the press, Silva emphasised that it is not the right time to discuss a permanent deal.
“We have time to make that decision. We’re relaxed about it, and so is he,” Silva stated, highlighting that the focus remains on Chukwueze’s on-field contributions.
He added:
“He knows what he has to do; he knows he has to continue helping the team. At the right time, we’ll make the right decision.”
Praise For The Nigerian Star
Despite caution on a permanent transfer, Silva heaped praise on the 25-year-old’s quality and professionalism.
“He’s mature, has quality, and is a creative player. We want to see more from him, even if he doesn’t have to prove his worth every single game, because he’s an international player who comes from a big European club and knows what pressure means,” Silva explained.
The Fulham boss also noted Chukwueze’s positive influence off the pitch:
“Beyond his qualities as a player, he spreads good vibes to everyone. He’s a good guy and enjoys battling with us every single day. It’s nice to see him always smiling. Then when he has to work, he works.”
Chukwueze has clearly found his feet in the Premier League, and Fulham supporters will be hoping that his impressive form continues, regardless of whether the loan is made permanent.
