Chelsea Women Included in New EA Sports Deal
Chelsea FC have extended and enhanced their long-term partnership with EA Sports FC to officially include Chelsea FC Women for the first time on an equal basis.
Stars such as Sam Kerr, Millie Bright, and Laura James will now receive the same visibility as their male counterparts in the video game in what is a true reflection of the global rise in popularity of women’s football, driven by record-breaking crowds, broadcast deals, and growing cultural impact.
The next edition of the game will also bring back legendary heroes from the Chelsea’s men’s team, including Eden Hazard, Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba, and Gianfranco Zola, allowing fans to relive some of the greatest moments of Stamford Bridge.
Supporters will also have their say, with Chelsea stars securing massive fan-voted inclusions in both the ‘Team of the Year’ and ‘Team of the Season’ line-ups. The goal is to provide the most genuine Chelsea experience to date, featuring both the Men’s and Women’s First Teams, club managers, iconic mascots, familiar chants, and the roar of Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea star Cole Palmer has been unveiled as the latest global ambassador for the franchise.
Dan McEwan, director of partnerships at Chelsea, said: “We are proud to continue this long-standing relationship with EA SPORTS FC as it enters its 18th year, and are excited to see it evolve in a way that supports the entire club and our diverse fanbase.”
Acknowledging the increasing importance of the women’s team to the Chelsea brand and the video gaming experience, James Taylor, director of football partnerships at EA SPORTS FC, said: “We’re excited to extend our long-standing partnership with Chelsea FC – a club that shines on the world stage across both the men’s and women’s game. With the men’s team crowned Club World Cup champions and the women’s team securing a historic treble, Chelsea continues to inspire.”
Pre-orders for the 2026 edition of the game open September 19.
