Valencia Drop Out Of Race For Barcelona Winger Dani Rodriguez
Barcelona youth prodigy Dani Rodriguez has found himself in a tricky situation this summer following the arrivals of Marcus Rashford and Roony Bardghji.
Following the exit of Ansu Fati, the young La Masia sensation was hopeful of making a breakthrough. But the summer addition of Bardghji and Rashford has left him trailing in the pecking order.
Keeping that in mind, Rodriguez is now actively considering offers as he looks to continue his development away from Catalonia.
Earlier in the summer, Valencia had emerged as a potential suitor for the young attacker, and the club were even willing to hand him regular minutes in La Liga.
Valencia exit race to sign Dani Rodriguez
According to Mundo Deportivo, Valencia are no longer interested in the services of Dani Rodriguez as we approach the final few days of the transfer market.
Valencia were initially keen on signing Dani following the departure of Fran Perez to Rayo Vallecano.
However, in the final days of the market, Los Che must complete other deals in order for them to be able to sign the Barcelona winger.
The priority for Valencia now is to sign a new striker who can serve as an alternative for Hugo Duro in the number nine position.
With Valencia ruled out, Mallorca have emerged as the best-placed club to secure the services of Dani Rodriguez this summer.
Barcelona, for their part, would have ideally liked Dani to join Valencia, who are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements this summer.
But at Mallorca, the youngster can play with a familiar face in the form of Pablo Torre, who joined the club on a permanent deal earlier this summer.
